Why Vulnerable Children in Uganda Need Your Support
Many families in rural Uganda struggle to meet their children's basic needs. When household income is limited, parents and guardians may find it difficult to afford school fees, uniforms, books, meals, and other educational requirements.
For vulnerable children and those who have lost one or both parents, these challenges can be even greater. Some children risk missing school, falling behind in their studies, or leaving education before completing their primary schooling.
Education provides children with knowledge, practical skills, confidence, and opportunities to improve their lives. However, children cannot benefit fully from education when they lack food, learning materials, and a safe environment in which to study.
Supporting vulnerable children means addressing these challenges together. It means helping children attend school, access essential supplies, receive meals, and develop the skills they need for a better future.
About Greenfield Kids Foundation
Greenfield Kids Foundation is a community-based organisation working to improve the lives of vulnerable children in Rubanda District, southwestern Uganda.
The foundation began its work in 2009 and was officially registered in 2017 with Rubanda District Local Government under reference number RBD/CBO/004/2017.
One of its main initiatives is Greenfield Nursery and Primary School, established in 2012 to provide educational opportunities for children in the community.
Today, the school serves approximately 580 children, including 260 boarding pupils. These children need more than classroom lessons. They also need meals, school materials, suitable accommodation, clothing, and a supportive learning environment.
Our mission is to help vulnerable and orphaned children access education, care, and opportunities that can transform their lives.
We believe that investing in children today helps build stronger families and communities tomorrow.
